life in Mercyville

My story

I am wife to one incredible man and mom to three wonderful children.  I love being outside with my family – from hiking and gardening to playing kickball in the backyard. Along with my husband and children, I have a great big heart for both local and international missions. God called me to the mission field when I was a young girl, it looks different than I thought it would!

I graduated with a Bachelors of Arts in Elementary Education and a Bachelor of Arts in Christian Studies from North Greenville University. I am passionate about teaching, speaking, writing, and equipping teachers.  I am a certified Instructor of Teachers through the Children’s Ministry Institute. For eight years I served as Director of Children’s Ministry at Hope Point Church.  While serving there, I wrote several eight week Bible studies for children.

God has me at Oakbrook Preparatory School teaching Bible and World History, where I also get to coach & mentor the girls Varsity Volleyball team. I get to work with incredible people who I call friends and they feel like family.

When opportunities arise I speak to area ministries, teach workshops, and lead at the local children’s ministry conference, lead camps, and go on short term missions.

Oh, and I freelance write by candlelight. Here's what I have been working on: Writing!
